The chromatic parts of the Optichromies grew until they became paintings: pixel-gradient compositions — color moving dynamically across the x-y plane, like the hundreds of images that pass through our screens every day. The gradients are always painted by Felipe; the flat fields, by the team.
The 2021 monograph publishes the full breakdown of CHROMADYNAMICA 104: aluminum frame → composite panel → enamel → UV paint → varnish. The Dimensional branch is his explicit homage to Soto: 289 hand-painted conduits suspended like a three-dimensional glitch (Mesa, Arizona, 2017). From Lisbon to Monterrey, it is the series that has signed the most facades.
