The story

I redesigned the mural so I'd only have to climb the scaffolding once

I was coming off a whole string of trips and arrived in Valencia with the promise of a crane to reach the entire wall. When I showed up, the crane wasn't there: there was one section of the illegal kind of scaffolding, the kind you look at and it already gives you the creeps. Very sketchy. And there I had two options: pack up and leave, or paint with what was there. I decided to stay, but I wasn't going to risk my neck climbing up and down that scaffolding twenty times. So I changed the whole design. I rethought it entirely so I'd only have to go up once, do whatever I had to do up there, and never go back up. This mural is exactly that: what came out of adapting to a dangerous scaffold and not killing myself in the process.
