'Stasjon til Stasjon', an urban art project by Sporveien (Oslo's public transport operator), with curator Eric Ness Christiansen: Pantone painted the Skullerud metro station, one of the five on the Østensjø line turned into an 'art safari'. The pattern is designed to be activated by the metro itself: when the train rushes past, interference and a snaking sensation are generated — movement switches the piece on.

The story
The train switches the pattern on
I calculated it to react to movement. With the platform still, almost nothing happens; the moment the metro shoots past, the pattern goes into interference and starts to snake, to ripple. It's not a fixed drawing on a wall: it's the train itself, with its speed, that activates the work.
