The first monumental facade of his career, painted while he was still a graffiti writer, at the Respublica urban art festival, alongside Demsky: a gable wall several floors high with the silhouette of a constellation-man crashing into glitch geometry, with the inscription «КРІЗЬ ГАЛАКТИКУ ДО ЗІРОК» ('through the galaxy to the stars'). Getting there meant eight hours by train to Kyiv with no water and another four on a pothole-ridden road; the wall was painted from a Soviet crane operated by a man who wouldn't stop drinking. The constellation-man is a design by Sozyone Gonzalez, who in the end couldn't make it; Demsky and Felipe painted it.
The story
Kamianets: an eight-hour train and a Soviet crane
Respublica festival, 2012, with Demsky. The first monumental facade of his career began with an eight-hour train ride to Kyiv with no water, followed by four more hours on a pothole-ridden road. The crane was Soviet, and it was operated by someone who kept drinking as he went. That is how the gable wall of the constellation-man was painted, with the inscription «КРІЗЬ ГАЛАКТИКУ ДО ЗІРОК» — 'through the galaxy, to the stars'.
