In 2016, Felipe Pantone was invited to do a residency and to create work at Articruz, the studio of Carlos Cruz-Diez in Panama City. During that month, he got together with the master and the team and laid the technical foundations of the “W3-DIMENSIONAL” series.
For the first time, Felipe properly explored UV printing, laser and CNC cutting, automotive lacquers, and other modus operandi that encouraged him to continue his investigation without the limitations of traditional art techniques. The edition is based on “W3-Dimensional 2”, an original work created during his stay in Panama.
As pure as it is, this W3-Dimensional edition incorporates Planned Iridescence kinetic gradients that seem to scroll vertically and horizontally as the viewer moves in front of the artwork.

“Felipe Pantone creates a rational work that seeks communication and dynamic-active interaction with the viewer while playing and experimenting with the graphic expressions of digital language to build images from a mosaic of pixels, geometric patterns, angled figures, dynamic compositions, etc.
The internet changed our sense of time and space. Felipe Pantone's work has this same intention to increase and bring the spaces closer, based on the use of a recognizable and constantly changing digital language.”
