Subtractive Variability

The kinetic engine of the work and its largest family. Translucent layers of cyan, magenta and yellow that, as they overlap, rotate or shift, subtract light and generate the entire visible color spectrum. The system — the same one behind the industrial standardization of printing — produces endless color combinations by rotating or displacing the same image over and over in C, M, Y: the result is always random, unexpected, and always different.
